£20 Make Up Challenge

So my husband set me a challenge of doing a make up look for £20 which at first I was thinking it was pretty much impossible because even Drugstore foundation costs around £10, but I thought I'll have a little look online and see what's out there. As there are so many different make up brands now days and after doing a bit of research I figured that the best shop to go to would be Superdrug they have a lot of different brands that are pretty reasonably priced.

We have also just had a new Superdrug store open up near me so I thought it would be the perfect excuse to go in there.
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I walked in the the first time but I was totally over whelmed and a bit intimidated if I am honest by the amount of make up they had!!! Don't get me wrong I was in total Make up heaven but it was almost boarding on too much just for a second, I did tried to find a picture (apologies for the quality of it) as I didn't take one when I went in there, just so you can visualise it and can sort of see what I mean when I said it was like "WOW" 😍!!!! I think its probably because its all in a row so it kinda looks like its all staring back at you!!! and other stores that I have been to its more like spread around so it doesn't look as much!!

Anyway I'm totally going off subject, and after I got over the initial shock I was ready to shop!!!!

I knew what foundation I wanted to get as I had seen people raving about it and it was only priced at £5.99 which is an absolute bargain!!!
Foundation - Maybelline Fit me Matte + Poreless Foundation

£5.99
I do like this foundation, I have worn it a couple of times, it didn't wow me as such but its a  nice foundation for day to day use, its probably not one that I will use if I am going out all day or for a night out as I have better foundation but overall for the price its ok.

Concealer - Models Own Tea Tree Healer Concealer

£3.99
I love the way this feels when you first apply it as it had Tea Tree in it it feels very refreshing and it feels like its awakening your eyes, the staying power isn't great though so again probably not one I would use if I needed it to stay put all day or for a night out, coverage is pretty good but fades throughout day.

Contouring, Highlight and Blush - Revolution Sculpt and Contour Kit - Light CO1
£3.50
Love this!! amazing results for the price and a little goes a long way, easy to blend and lovely colours will be buying more from this brand!!

Eyeshadow - MUA Eyeshadow in Shade Chamoisee
£1
This was a such a lovely colour, very easy to blend, very pigmented for the price amazing!!!

Eyebrows - MUA Eyebrow Pencil Black/Brown 842

£1
I found this very hard to control and have not used it since filming!! But I prefer filling in my eyebrows with a powder so that may be why I didn't get on with this.

Mascara - Collection Fast Stroke Defining Mascara Black Waterproof
£2.99
I am very fussy with my mascara and this one was not very good, I didn't have high expectations and I got the results I thought I would so again something that I wouldn't use again.

Lipstick - MUA Lipstick Shade 11
£1
I was very pleasantly surprised with this lipstick it was actually quite nice, it felt hydrating on the lips, and it actually stayed on nicely, I wasn't keen on the colour but really liked the formula and will be getting a few more different shades.

I loved this challenge it wasn't easy and I feel if I had between £25-£30 it would have been better and I could of got slightly better products for my eyebrows and a better mascara but I still managed it I found some really good things and it made me look at brands that I had never looked at before so overall I am impressed and can't wait to go out again to get a few more bits that caught my eye!!
